Restylane Lyft® Injectable Filler at Moradi M.D. of San Diego
Restylane Lyft, formerly known as Perlane, is a hyaluronic acid-based injectable gel, but Restylane Lyft is designed to smooth deeper wrinkles than Restylane or JUVÉDERM® can. At Moradi MD, we recommend Restylane Lyft for patients with deeper creasing of the skin and less supporting collagen. Restylane Lyft is indicated for treating nasolabial folds and wrinkles, and for volumetric filling of deeply defined facial lines and creases.
Hyaluronic acid, the basic material of Restylane Lyft, is found naturally in your body as a skin filler and joint lubricant, but diminishes with age and sun exposure leaving the skin susceptible to wrinkles.
How Does Restylane Lyft Work?
Restylane Lyft is a natural compound that is gradually absorbed by the body; however, Restylane Lyft increases its durability by binding water molecules as it is absorbed, which allows Restylane Lyft to maintain its volume for as long as six months. You can have touch-ups, revisions, and re-treatments to customize your results to perfection.
Restylane Lyft uses non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid (NASHA) and therefore requires no testing before use.
Restylane Lyft injections take about 15 minutes, like other injectable fillers. First, a numbing cream is applied, then, Restylane Lyft is injected into the area to be treated. Your injector may massage the treated area gently to ensure smoothness. You will see full results in about one week.
During recovery, you will probably experience minor swelling. Because Restylane Lyft is injected more deeply, the swelling may be less pronounced than for other hyaluronic acid fillers. It is best to avoid strenuous activity, sun exposure, and excessive heat for at least 24 hours after treatment.
