Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between BOTOX and fillers?
BOTOX (Allergan Aesthetics) is a neuromodulator that is injected into a muscle group to stop the muscle(s) from contracting. By stopping or reducing your muscle activity you will reduce and prevent your “expression lines” such as crows feet, frown, forehead lines and marionette lines. Fillers are substances that are injected under the skin (either above or below the muscle) to bolster up an area where volume has been lost. Some clients may achieve the results they desire with BOTOX, while some will need filler. Some clients will benefit from both BOTOX and filler. It’s always best to consult with a well trained and experienced injector before you make any decisions.
What are the advantages of using injectable fillers?
At Moradi MD, we use injectables that are all natural and carry less risk of reaction. Restylane®, Radiesse®, Perlane® help replace your natural collagen and soften facial lines and scars with immediate results that can take years off your appearance for a refreshed and beautiful you!
What can I expect from my injectable treatment?
You will notice a softening effect on the treatment areas. Lines will be smoothed, wrinkles minimized, and scars will become less noticeable. Your results will last from six to twelve months, depending upon treatment. Be sure schedule your retreatment in advance to ensure optimal appearance is maintained.
How do I get started with my first injectable treatment?
Your first step is to schedule a complimentary facial rejuvenation consultation. After discussing your options, you and your doctor will choose the best filler for your cosmetic goals.
What is Rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure to reshape the nose for both aesthetic and corrective purposes. A Rhinoplasty can reduce or enlarge the nost, as well as reshape the bridge and nose tip.
Is Rhinoplasty painful?
In the first 24 hours after rhinoplasty, it is completely normal to feel very tired, sore in the nose, and occasionally have a headache. You will have an absorbent pad in the nose for the first night which is removed in the morning to help you begin breathing through your nose again. The nose is never “packed” in the traditional manner. Typically patients discontinue their prescription pain medication after the first 3-4 days and the external splint and sutures are removed by one week.
Which nonsurgrical fat reduction technique is right for me?
At Moradi MD, we offer Vanquish and CoolSculpting. The best way to determine which technique is right for you is to have a consultation with Dr. Moradi.
What is Infini?
Infini RF is a unique technology that combines radiofrequency energy with microneedling. Microneedling is a process that uses multiple microneedles to penetrate the skin so that electric energy can be delivered directly to the second layer of the skin (the dermis). Because our team is able to control the depth of treatment, we can reach many layers of the dermis, making this a 3-dimensional treatment.
Can you treat my Rosacea?
The best course of treatment for Rosacea is two-fold; control the symptoms and improve the aesthetic appearance. At Moradi MD we rise to the challenge of treating Rosacea with a dual approach. The first course of action we suggest is an in-office laser treatment. While in-office treatments may be the quickest way to reduce symptoms and create positive changes in the patients appearance, at home therapies are the staple of any successful treatment plan. For Rosacea patients this will include a skin care regimen geared to their condition.
What is Moradi Signature Skin Tightening?
Moradi Signature Skin Tightening is a unique procedure that applies a dual approach to stimulating new collagen and firming the skin. It is ideal for patients that want a more youthful appearance through a non invasive approach and without downtime.
What is an IPL Photofacial?
The IPL photofacial laser face treatment uses intense pulses of light to target pigmentation in the skin, penetrating into the deeper layers of skin in order to constrict the blood vessels to reduce redness and stimulate natural collagen production (which, over time, will serve as a natural dermal filler). This is a non-invasive treatment that causes only minimal discomfort, requires minimal downtime for recovery, and provides patients with fast and effective results.
How does Laser Hair Removal work?
The laser emits pulses of energy that translate into heat that are absorbed into the hair follicle. The heat then cauterizes the base of the hair follicle sealing off the blood flow that serves as food source for the hair. The follicle then becomes inactive and ceases to produce hair.
