Ear surgery for children

How does ear surgery work?

What is the recovery time after ear surgery?

Ear surgery has a recovery time of ten days to two weeks and is usually easy to experience. The process of healing cartilage takes some time, but your ears will look far better lying against the head within a short time. Some swelling is expected. 

You will need to keep your head elevated during the early stages of healing, including during sleeping hours. Your ears will feel numb at first, with sensation slowly returning. Take any medications as prescribed and wear the compression headband as directed.
