What is Juvéderm?

Juvéderm comes in several formulas, custom-developed for specific areas of facial enhancement. The “XC” refers to the filler being fortified with an anesthetic to make injections more comfortable.

What is the treatment experience with Juvéderm?

Juvéderm injections are reasonably easy to experience, delivered with a fine needle directly into the skin. There is no sedation needed, but your skin will be numbed with a topical cream to reduce discomfort. Juvéderm fillers contain lidocaine for even more comfort. The injection sites are sterilized and marked, and the injections are performed with meticulous care.

The results are immediately visible. We may gently massage the area to create the ideal integration into the tissues.

Once your session is complete, you are free to return to your usual routine, but you must avoid any vigorous exercise for 24 hours.

What are the side effects of Juvéderm injections?

Juvéderm fillers are very safe, with only minor side effects such as tenderness, bruising, swelling, redness, minor bumps, or itching. Avoid rubbing your face, and place a cold compress on your skin on and off to treat swelling. When sleeping, elevate your head. The results are reached at about the two-week mark as the filler integrates into the natural tissues.
