How does CoolSculpting work?

CoolSculpting is an effective, non-invasive alternative to liposuction and other surgical fat reduction procedures. The technique used is called cryolipolysis, a method that freezes the unwanted fat cells, allowing the body to shed them as waste.

Double-board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Amir Moradi offers CoolSculpting at Moradi MD in Carlsbad, CA, and has achieved remarkable physical changes in patients undergoing this treatment method. All CoolSculpting treatments are performed by board-certified medical professionals in the privacy of our state-of-the-art clinic.

Is CoolSculpting for me?

CoolSculpting is safe for nearly all patients and can benefit almost anyone looking to reduce fat deposits. However, CoolSculpting is not a weight loss solution. While CoolSculpting can successfully target and reduce specific areas of fat, it is not workable if you are more than 30 pounds over your ideal weight range. Instead, CoolSculpting should be seen as a way to enhance body contours and address common problem areas, including the following:

  • Abdomen/tummy
  • Hips/flanks
  • Arms
  • Thighs

Is a CoolSculpting session in Oceanside painful?

During a CoolSculpting procedure, you should not feel any pain. However, you may feel gentle suction and a cold sensation during the procedure. The cooling device is placed over the fatty tissue, which is pulled upward into the custom cooling panels.

CoolSculpting treatment will last for about 35 minutes on average, depending on the size of the areas treated. All CoolSculpting patients will receive a complimentary Z Wave massage in the treated area to help break down the fat faster.

What is the recovery process like?

Following the procedure, you can go back to your regular activities. You may experience some redness and a tingling sensation in the treated areas, but these side effects will subside quickly. There is no downtime connected with CoolSculpting. For best results, sometimes multiple sessions are recommended. However, we are proud to offer treatments with two CoolSculpting machines simultaneously. The ability to treat two areas at once significantly decreases treatment time. Being free of areas of unwanted fat is now easier than ever and can be accomplished in half the time.

When will I begin to see results?

You should see visible changes in your figure within one to three months. Over that period, your body will be busy working to shed the damaged fat cells. As the procedure is gentle and non-invasive, the results appear gradually. The optimal slimming effect is achieved about four to six months after your treatment.
