BOTOX injections take 15 to 30 minutes and require no downtime. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Treatment: Using a very fine needle, tiny doses of BOTOX® are injected into targeted muscles. Most patients describe the sensation as a mild pinch.
  • Comfort options: If you’re sensitive, we can apply a topical numbing cream beforehand.
  • Post-treatment: You can return to your day immediately, with just a few aftercare guidelines.
  • You may also be advised to avoid alcohol, blood thinners, and strenuous activity for 24 hours to minimize bruising and help optimize your results.

What Is The Recovery Time?

There is no true downtime after BOTOX treatment—you can return to your normal activities immediately. Most patients begin to notice a smoothing effect within three to five days, with full results visible by about one week. The refreshed, youthful look typically lasts three to four months, after which many patients schedule routine maintenance appointments. Some mild swelling or bruising at the injection sites is possible, but this is temporary and can usually be concealed with makeup.
