Daxxify is made using the neurotoxin botulinum toxin type A, which is the same active ingredient found in treatments like Botox and Dysport. When this neuromodulator is injected into the facial muscles, it temporarily cuts off communication between the nerves and the muscles. This prevents those muscles from contracting, which smooths out the skin and softens the appearance of lines and wrinkles. What Should I Expect During the Treatment?

In total, the treatment will take only around 15 to 30 minutes, and you can leave right away once the procedure is finished.

How Long Is the Recovery Time?

Most patients don’t require any significant recovery downtime after undergoing Daxxify treatment. You should be able to return to work and resume your normal routine immediately after the procedure. However, you should wait at least 24 hours before partaking in strenuous physical activity, and you’ll need to avoid rubbing or scratching the injection sites for several days.
